change of pace

things have been, shall we say, pretty hectic in my life lately. i keep waiting for that moment, that peaceful moment where you breathe in deep and it's all ok. but it hasn't gotten here yet and with the busiest season of all just a couple of weeks away, i think it's safe to say peaceful-breathe-easy-moment won't be knocking on my door anytime soon.

but then i think, this is my life. it's always like this. it's jam packed full of roles that i can never potentially fill. it's like there are pieces of me pulled in each direction and my head is a dizzy mess trying to focus on each of them. and in the end i'm just tired and stressed and mentally exhausted (and then i end up with weird physical ailments like flesh-eating leg rashes..). i know we all feel like this from time to time (hopefully minus the rashing). i know i'm not alone. right?

i feel there's a life change needed here. somewhere, sometime. soon.

Aww, it happens to a lot of us -- even in laid-back Cali. :o) One thing I try to remember when I get so overwhelmed and feel like I can't fill all these roles is that I'm not meant to fill them by myself -- we can only live up to our potential with the help of God. And sometimes (not often enough, though!) the closer I get to God in the busy times, I realize that I'm carrying some burdens that God didn't want me to carry in the first place.
Good luck finding where/when/how that change is going to happen. :o) Start looking for it now.

Some suggestions:
1) Take up drinking alkyhol. You will then be concerned with making sure you don't pull a Britney or a Paris and all your other problems will fade away.

2) Find a celebrity to stalk. You will become so obsessed that everything else in your life will simply cease to be important. Allowing you to focus on your one true calling: stalking Kevin Bacon.

3) Carry a squirt bottle filled with water (the kind of bottle one would use to mist plants or a really good spiral perm) and spray yourself in the face each time you commit to doing something new. Hey, it works for cats, right?

I really hope you are able to find some rest and be re-energized soon!
