A cozy cup of tea

Okay, okay, I know I only 'pinned' these a mere 11 hours ago, but I was dying to try them. Since the wee bebe will be on her way so close to Christmas, I have to stock-pile gifts early. And my goodness are they addicting. I love the way they came out and I experimented with different stitches, thread colors and felt embellishments. Yay for some cold weather to keep me away from that outdoor painting project...

And the best part is I have one for winning! Just leave a comment here with your easiest go-to DIY Christmas gift idea and you'll be entered to win this bunted cozy. I'll even throw in a couple of those yummy pink Tazo teabags. I'll announce a winner next Wednesday, the day I'll officially be 36 weeks, yikes! Good luck!

  1. Pick me, pick me!

I like to make crafty "kits" for kids as easy Christmas and birthday gifts. For a cooking kit, it's easy to buy a colorful mixing bowl, a wooden spoon (with a couple acrylic paints so they can paint the handle), a sugar cookie mix, and a little matching apron or a hot pad. Or you can do a painting kid, a cross-stitch kit, a polymer-clay kit....

  2. SO CUTE! My favorite "go-to-gift" for this year is homemade canvases like the one you made Dan and I. I have made at least one for everyone in my family! So far, everyone that has gotten one LOVES it. They are inexpensive and fun to make, I like to give them as a set of two or three! Everyone in my family had a favorite picture that you took at the wedding and so it has been fun to give everyone their favorite on canvas!

  4. I like to make individual hot cocoa saving in a baby food jar. I really should come up with a better name for them. Anyway, got the idea from here -- http://familycrafts.about.com/od/giftsinajar/a/HotChocolateJar.htm

I like to make jewelry for a lot of people on my list-big girls and little girls that is! This year I made kind of a charm necklace for my running obsessed sis-in-law and am getting a pretty dog tag thing engraved with "I Run Like a Girl" and the reverse side says "Try To Keep Up!" Then it has a runner charm and a pink glass bead.

I love the first cozy with the gray and pink! These are so cute!

  7. I made cute DIY ornaments for all the family today! Bought the clear plastic ornaments at Michaels and filled them with a picture and holly things. They turned out so cute!

I was just looking at a crochet pattern for coffee cozys. The felt looks soo much easier!

  12. I like to make snowman gift jars. I buy round jars with lids and glue to candlestick holders. Then I paint a snowman face on the jar and fill with candy. They make perfect gifts for teachers, neighbors and friends.

    Your coffee/tea cosy is adorable!
