spare some change?

IMG_7147_cans.jpg

another simple project for the house. recycle some old tins from coffee or hot cocoa using coordinating scrapbook papers and double stick tape. a few easy measurements and cuts, apply tape and paper and five minutes later, voila!

just make sure your can/tin is completely clean before starting, these papers will not hold up to washing, and no one wants to smell salsa every time they reach for some laundry money.

  1. great idea! and i recently saw that house paper at a scrapbook store, and LOVED it! i didn't get it, because i have way too much on my plate right now, and i didn't want it to go to waste. by the way...i haven't forgotten about your fabric. it's on my list...

  2. Cute idea! Fill one with quarters and head to the slots at the casino. I can totally see you with all the old ladies...

Great idea! I might use that idea for other little things too. I'm going to be moving Layla to her own room when Carter gets into a big boy bed (she and Grant share a room right now). Am going to be working on some projects for her room. Am sure I could find some really cute papers for decorating in her room. Maybe put the decorated cans on a shelf or dresser....

it also works for soup cans, but you have to make sure the tops don't have anything exposed that could cut her. i use some for all my desktop supplies, like pens and rulers, staplers etc...
