sticky situations

rings.jpg, originally uploaded by tinkerellen.

i really really love the idea of these little rings BUT i need to find a more permanent way to adhere them to the base ring. any suggestions?

i think i'll try hot glue this weekend. {the permanent glass/metal surface adhesive i bought isn't cutting it for active hands...} if that dosn't work i'm going to have to hit up the supply store and try to find a knowledgable saleperson...

oh and it's still snowing, day 3. we're up to 94" for this season so far, and the good news is we're in the lead for the golden snowball award. i know, you were all worried...

second to last day of work....

  1. If the pretty top part is on metal, then you could solder it onto the ring base. Sometimes you can rent a soldering iron at a hardware store.
    Good luck!

The hot glue worked for one of ours, but not the other. When you find something let me know! Skyler LOVES her ring!

  3. Epoxy?

I know...my earrings fronts fell off all of the backs too. Must be the glue didn't stick well. Go to ACE hardware or something. They should be able to tell you.

yep, see that's what i'm afraid of. all the pieces i have right now will have to be reset. i'll have to stop by the store this weekend and see what to get.

i also want to get a cool epoxy and make my pendants water-resistant, for those people who mistakingly wear them in the shower... :)
